Since 2013, Dr. Bronner’s has donated over $4.8 million to organizations working to end the suffering and exploitation of animals while advocating for a healthier and more sustainable food system. Through this funding program, Dr. Bronner’s extends our “All-One!” philosophy to recognize the interconnected nature of humanity and all of Earth’s inhabitants.
The program supports organizations working to expose cruelty and suffering on factory farms, improve animal welfare standards and practices, educate people about plant-based diets and alternatives to meat and dairy, support sanctuaries for rescued animals, defend ocean and marine life, and advance a more ethical food system.
In addition to materially supporting organizations doing this important work, Dr. Bronner’s provides an example of a company that takes the rights and well-being of nonhuman animals seriously. As a progressive business, Dr. Bronner’s believes deeply in aligning our values with our practices. Sharing resources with causes we believe in is one way we do this.
Animal exploitation and cruelty do not have to be the norm in our food system, and we don’t have to accept that they are. We can reject exploitative and extractive practices and make better choices about what we eat and support. Animal abuse and cruelty do not exist in a vacuum. They are part of the same thinking that drives climate change, environmental destruction, war, and rising inequality. These problems all stem from systems that treat living beings, the natural world, and human communities as expendable in pursuit of power, profit, and control.
Dr. Bronner’s stands with our animal advocacy partners because they refuse to look away and courageously shine a light on the injustices billions of animals face. How we treat the most vulnerable in our world reflects our care for each other and the planet.
“Dr. Bronner’s is proud to continue supporting diverse and innovative efforts to end factory farming, protect ocean wildlife, and educate communities about plant-based living, all while nurturing a culture of empathy and respect for all life.”

Highlighting Dr. Bronner’s Animal Advocacy Partners
In 2026, Dr. Bronner’s is supporting five organizations doing meaningful work to improve the world for nonhuman animals and humans alike: Animal Outlook, Black Veg Society, Farm Forward, Sea Shepherd Global, and VINE Sanctuary. Together these organizations demonstrate how it takes a diversity of strategies to advance a more just world for animals. The following highlights some of what these groups have been working on in 2026 and why we support them.
Animal Outlook

Animal Outlook is a nonprofit organization that challenges animal agribusiness through undercover investigations and legal work. They have been at the forefront of the fight for animal protection for three decades. Their powerful advocacy and investigative work expose the cruelty and suffering animals endure. Their work has been featured in prominent outlets like The Guardian and New York Post. With Dr. Bronner’s support, they have been able to hold the meat industry, retailers, and policymakers accountable to public demand for healthier, more humane food systems.

Black Veg Society

Led by award-winning activist and entrepreneur Naijha Wright-Brown, Black Veg Society educates the public, particularly BIPOC communities, on the benefits of veganism and plant-based eating while building community centered around healthy, accessible, and sustainable food. They organize a variety of community events, including the Children’s VegFest, an annual event in Baltimore, MD that brings together families, educators, and community members to celebrate healthier lifestyles, plant-based eating, and holistic wellness.
Farm Forward

Farm Forward works to reform industrial animal agriculture by holding corporations accountable for their treatment of animals. Through in-depth investigations that regularly generate mainstream media coverage, the organization exposes animal abuse and pressures companies to eliminate or reduce animal suffering in their supply chains.
Sea Shepherd Global

Sea Shepherd Global utilizes direct action to protect marine animals from harm and safeguard their habitats. Dr. Bronner’s funding has supported the maintenance their vessel MV Emanuel Bronner, while also contributing to the team’s ongoing marine conservation efforts, specifically targeting the illegal trapping of octopus in the Mediterranean. A new powerful documentary from Sea Shepherd titled “Before the Last Octopus” exposes illegal octopus fishing and its impact on marine ecosystems and coastal communities. Sea Shepherd has been a valued partner of Dr. Bronner’s for many years, united by our shared commitment to protecting ocean ecosystems and marine life.

VINE Sanctuary

VINE Sanctuary is an LGBTQ-led farmed animal sanctuary in Vermont that works for social and environmental justice and animal liberation. Dr. Bronner’s support has helped cover the care and feeding of more than 500 rescued animals, along with operational expenses. The funding also supports outreach efforts like the Pride Month Rainbow Vegan Challenge and free educational programming including Barnyard Buddies, designed for use in classrooms. Beyond rescuing animals from cruelty, VINE advocates for animal rights, veganism, and plant-based living.
