Oh how I love a good timesaving trick! Cleaning your makeup brushes with Dr. Bronner’s Pure-Castile Soap is exactly that. Cleaning my brushes is one of those things that often falls to the bottom of my “to do” list. The only time I remember it is right when I’m putting on my makeup. Which is usually as I’m flying out the door.

Mothering for me has been a crash course in stain management. I definitely underappreciated the relative stainlessness of my earlier adulthood.  I expected certain obvious stain culprits – ketchup, blueberries, bodily fluids.  But others took me by surprise: bananas, watermelon, smashed peas.  And then there was that time a green crayon found its way into the dryer… All that to say,

Coconut Oil wants to be your friend.  It wants to be your friend inside and out.  And it’s very good at both.  One jar of Dr. Bronner’s Organic Virgin Coconut Oil lives in my kitchen where it shows up in all manner of cooking. My second jar of Dr. B’s Coconut Oil lives in my bathroom. 

When my kids were super young, every day was made up of a million tiny tasks, none of which I could ever remember when anyone asked that simple but awful question, “What did you do today?” “Uh, well, I kept everyone alive?”  No small task, some days. Any little scrap of a timesaver was life blood.
