We Say No to Ethnic Cleansing in Gaza

Our founder and grandfather, Emanuel Bronner—a German-Jewish immigrant who lost his parents in the Holocaust—made it his life’s work to teach unity: “We’re All-One or None!”

As a company with deep connections to both Palestine & Israel, we cannot say it forcefully enough: Trump’s proposal to ethnically cleanse Palestinians from Gaza is morally reprehensible.

We reject the utter nonsense and cruelty of suggesting that it’s somehow OK to forcibly remove millions of Palestinians from Gaza. Though Trump’s plan for “Mar-a-Gaza” is absurd and unlikely to succeed, it has given tacit cover & permission for many in Israel who wish to see Palestinians leave—and who are determined to immiserate the lives of Palestinians to the point that leaving is the only option.

Through our relationships with Palestinian farmers in the West Bank—who supply the bulk of the olive oil for our soaps, and who have been stewards of their land for centuries—we know that Palestinian connection to their ancestral land is unfathomably deep and rich, as it is for Israelis. Neither are going to live anywhere else.

At this time—with a fragile ceasefire in place—Trump’s reckless words only serve to inflame. They threaten to reignite the war, when what is desperately needed is a permanent ceasefire leading to a viable two state solution—so that remaining Israeli hostages can return and Gazans can start to rebuild their shattered lives.
