From now until December 31, 2021, Dr. Bronner’s will donate 10% of your purchase to the environmental organization of your choice when you shop on drbronner.com. We’ve selected four nonprofits working to advance regenerative organic agriculture, each with a unique approach benefiting the livelihood of our farmers, animals, and Spaceship Earth!
Why is Dr. Bronner’s so passionate about regenerative organic agriculture and how it can benefit the environment? We know this type of farming sequesters atmospheric carbon, helping to mitigate the effects of climate change. It helps build strong communities and empowers small-scale farmers.
Dr. Bronner’s feels strongly that regenerative organic principles should be applied to all forms of cultivation – from food to cannabis, animals to body care, and everything in between. We also believe this emphasis on smallholder farming should be used to uplift BIPOC-led farms, ultimately working to dismantle deep-rooted racism in our food systems. We hope you enjoy learning more about each of the organizations below. To participate in our donation, just select the organization of your choosing from the “You Shop, We Give” option while shopping on drbronner.com.
Regenerative Organic Alliance
The Regenerative Organic Alliance oversees a revolutionary new certification, Regenerative Organic Certified™ (ROC™), for food, textiles, and personal care ingredients. Regenerative organic agriculture has the potential to address many of today’s greatest issues, including the climate crisis, factory farming, and fractured rural economies. Industrial agriculture and factory farming of animals are top contributors to climate change. Our conventional farming system has degraded our soil to dangerous levels around the world. Farmers and farmworkers are too often exploited, and rural economies in the U.S. and around the world are suffering.
To combat this crisis, we need clear, calculated changes to our food and fiber systems with regenerative organic as the new model. If we adopt regenerative organic practices on more farms, we’ll see improvements to soil health, the wellbeing of animals, farmers, workers, and the climate itself. Consumers who are not intimately connected to farming—but interested in making a positive impact with their purchases—need a way to verify that a product is responsible and ethical. Faced with dozens of labels in the grocery aisle, consumers can look for the ROC seal and instantly feel good about what they’re buying – a product that builds soil while benefiting farmers, farmed animals, the planet, and ourselves.

Sun+Earth Certified
Sun+Earth certifies cannabis that is grown under the sun by fairly-paid farmers, in the soil of mother earth, without chemicals. Sun+Earth Certified is working to build a truly green cannabis marketplace that honors family-owned farms that grow food and medicine under the sun and in the soil.
Contributions to Sun+Earth allow investments in scholarships for farms to complete the certification process and receive technical support and mentoring. Donations are also used to recruit and support more BIPOC-led farms and manufacturers while expanding our dispensary outreach program to increase public access to Sun+Earth Certified products. Sun+Earth certifies that cannabis brands are holistically, responsibly, and regeneratively grown for the wellbeing of all people, farmers, and the planet. Sun+Earth sets the standard above and beyond organic.

Compassion in World Farming
Compassion in World Farming is dedicated to reforming a broken food and farming system, and building a more humane, just, and sustainable future. Since 2012, they’ve built a U.S. team of strategic bridge builders working to end factory farming through public policy advocacy, educational marketing campaigns, ethical food buying guides, and farming technical assistance.
Compassion in World Farming advocates on behalf of all areas that are detrimentally impacted by factory farming – animals, environment, public health, community, and worker justice. From farms to corporate boardrooms, newsfeeds to the halls of government, they work tirelessly on the ground to establish an innovative and resilient food system that is compassionate, fair, and regenerative for our planet and all its inhabitants.
