Dr. Bronner’s Promotes Regenerative Organic Agriculture During Earth Month with ‘Heal Earth!’ Campaign

Globally Renowned Natural Brand of Soap Promotes Regenerative Organic Supply Chain Solutions for Climate Resilience, Ecological Stewardship, and Social Fairness

April 16, 2025

MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA – Dr. Bronner’s, the globally renowned family-owned natural brand of soap, is celebrating its ‘Heal Earth!’ campaign this April in recognition of Earth Month. ‘Heal Earth!’ supports healthy climate action and dynamic solutions for climate resilience, including tackling the interlinking issues of soil health, animal welfare, and farmworker fairness, as well as strategies for transforming industrial agriculture to a regenerative organic model.

“At Dr. Bronner’s, we seek to ‘Heal Earth!’ by modelling sourcing practices that adhere to the Regenerative Organic Certified standard,” said Michael Bronner, President of Dr. Bronner’s and grandson of company founder, Emanuel Bronner. “We all need to do our part in helping to reverse climate change and its devastating effects. We cannot have healthy people without a healthy planet. For our company, ensuring an ecological approach to how we do business is essential to healing Earth.”

Dr. Bronner’s demonstrates the importance of Regenerative Organic Agriculture for a more sustainable and eco-friendly future by offering organic and fair trade products with simple, pure ingredients consumers can pronounce, and selling climate-friendly plant-based soaps that are good for the planet and good for the body

Dr. Bronner’s works to ‘Heal Earth’ by:

  • Working directly with farmers to increase knowledge and skills for implementation of Regenerative Organic Agriculture, which entail carbon-sequestering farming practices such as minimal tillage, diverse crop rotation, composting, and cover cropping.
  • Sourcing all its major raw materials for its biodegradable, plant-based products from certified organic and certified fair trade projects around the world.
  • Supporting thousands of smallholder farmers through fair prices and wages, including from Ghana (palm oil), Palestine and Israel (olive oil), India (mint oil) and Sri Lanka (coconut oil).
  • Manufacturing soaps in a 100% renewably powered facility.
  • Donating all profits not needed for business development. In 2024, Dr. Bronner’s gave away an estimated $8 million USD (approx. $12.1 million AUD) to support activist and charitable causes.
  • In Australia, Dr Bronner’s supports local organizations including Seed, Australia’s first Indigenous youth climate network building a movement of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people for climate justice, and Edgar’s Mission, an animal sanctuary that addresses the terrible plight of factory farmed animals and promotes more compassionate and sustainable lifestyle choices. Dr. Bronner’s Australia donates 100% of sales of its Deluxe Sample packs to a different environmental organisation every two months, with $27,615 donated since 2017.

Dr. Bronner’s sustainability credentials are verified by the following certifications to ensure its supply chain and its products are accountable to the highest social and ecological standards. With this approach, every month is Earth Month for Dr. Bronner’s:

  • Fair Trade: Fair for Life
  • Organic: USDA and Oregon Tilth
  • No Animal Testing: Coalition for Consumer information on Cosmetics
  • Vegan: Vegan Action (excludes lip and body balms)
