Dr. Bronner’s Discusses Regenerative Organic Certification Pilot Program
Dr. Bronner’s is participating in the Pilot Program, for the new Regenerative Organic Certification (ROC)—a holistic agriculture certification encompassing robust, high-bar standards for ensuring soil health and ecological land management, pasture-based animal welfare, and fairness for farmers and workers. While the ROC standard affirms and codifies the ethical supply chain standard that Dr. Bronner’s already adheres to via organic, fair trade and cruelty-free certification, the company intends to be among the first brands to adopt the ROC standard for all its major raw material chains. Two individuals who are instrumental in structuring Dr. Bronner’s supply chains to meet ROC standards, Gero Leson Dr. Bronner’s Director of Special Operations, and Safianu Moro the Managing Director of Serendipalm—sister-company to Dr. Bronner’s and supplier of organic and fair trade palm oil—will discuss their work at the Climate Day panel “From The Ground Up: Building Resilient Agriculture Supply Chains.” Additionally, Safianu Moro will be among the soil health experts participating in the panel discussion, “Regenerative Organic Alliance: Global Certification Pilot Updates,” on Saturday March 9th.

Dr. Bronner’s 2019 All-One Report
Dr. Bronner’s has published its fifth annual All-One Report, “It’s All Connected,” which documents the company’s commitment to corporate responsibility, activism and environmental sustainability while profiling stories about the company’s impact from its employees and partner organizations. Dr. Bronner’s All-One Report includes data on the brand’s environmental footprint, fair trade activity and progressive business practices as well as its charitable giving including regenerative organic agriculture, fair trade, environmental & climate change, wage equality, animal advocacy, and drug policy reform. The report also includes stories about how the company captures carbon and mitigates climate change through regenerative organic practices, including 36% of Dr. Bronner’s Scope 3 emissions, victory for hemp following Dr. Bronner’s 20-year battle to legalize industrial hemp, the company’s employee self-directed charitable giving program and more.

Dr. Bronner’s Debuts New Short Film Journey to Pavitramenthe
Dr. Bronner’s will debut the short documentary film Journey to Pavitramenthe (6-8 minutes), at viewing stations at its booth #2837, throughout Expo West 2019. The second in the company’s “Journey” series—which documents the stories behind the organic and fair trade supply chains for Dr. Bronner’s products—Journey to Pavitramenthe introduces viewers to Dr. Bronner’s partners in Bareilly, India, where more than 1,500 farmers utilize regenerative organic agriculture practices, such as minimal tillage, diverse crop rotation, composting and cover cropping, to build healthy soils and sequester carbon. Pavitramenthe has made significant contributions to community development in the area, via such projects as funding medical camps, construction of home toilets, and distribution of water coolers for drinking water. These projects were paid for by the fair trade premium Pavitramenthe receives from Dr. Bronner’s, which also works directly with Pavitramenthe farmers to increase knowledge and skills for implementation of regenerative organic agriculture practices.

Dr. Bronner’s Launches New Peppermint Organic Hand Sanitizer
Dr. Bronner’s has launched a new Peppermint scented Organic Hand Sanitizer, for hygiene on-the-go. Certified organic and fair trade, the active ingredient, ethyl alcohol, is 99.9% effective against germs while the peppermint oil leaves behind an uplifting scent. Organic glycerin, which naturally draws moisture into the skin, is added to the hand spray rather than synthetic petrochemical thickeners, and this yields a smooth after-feel that is not sticky or drying. Excellent for use on-the-go, in public bathrooms, classrooms, on buses and trains, the Peppermint Organic Hand Sanitizer can even be used to clean display screens. Packaged in 100% post-consumer recycled plastic bottles, the Peppermint Organic Hand Sanitizer is the latest addition to Dr. Bronner’s Sanitizer product line, alongside the company’s Lavender Organic Hand Sanitizer launched in 2008, but now offered in the classic Dr. Bronner’s peppermint fragrance. Dr. Bronner’s Peppermint Organic Hand Sanitizer will be available at drbronner.com with MSRP $4.99, and retailers nationwide beginning in Spring 2019.
