Dr. Bronner’s Hosts Fair Pay Today Campaign Event and Launches New Magic Balms at Natural Products Expo East
Magic Balms and Fair Pay Today Special Label Soaps Hit Retailers Nationwide this Fall

VISTA, CA – Dr. Bronner’s, the top-selling brand of soap in the natural marketplace is proud to announce two important developments coinciding with the 2016 Expo East trade show in Baltimore, Maryland. Dr. Bronner’s will host a special event on the show floor of Expo East on Friday Sept. 23 from 10am to 11am for the Fair Pay Today campaign in the Dr. Bronner booth (#3612). The Fair Pay Today campaign supports raising the minimum wage in the U.S. The trade show will also mark the official release of the brand’s latest product, Dr. Bronner’s Organic Magic Balms.

Fair Pay Today
Fair Pay Today is a partnership of Dr. Bronner’s, Business for a Fair Minimum Wage, The Fairness Project and over 50 natural product industry brands and retailers who are bringing the message that raising the minimum wage is “Good for Business, Good for Us All!” direct to consumers through special product labels, in-store displays, social media, product giveaways and support of ballot initiatives, including donating to campaigns working to raise the minimum wage. Companies in the Fair Pay Today Campaign have all signed the Business for a Fair Minimum Wage statement calling for a federal minimum wage of at least $12 by 2020. Currently, the federal minimum wage is not sufficient for basic necessities. It has been set at $7.25 an hour – just $15,080 a year – since 2009.
Dr. Bronner’s has also created special packaging for their best-selling 32oz. liquid soap products that demands “Fair Pay Today” and replaces the text on their iconic product labels with messaging in support of the fight to raise the minimum wage. Starting September 1st, the specially labeled products will be distributed in thousands of stores throughout all 50 states to raise public awareness that raising the minimum wage is good for business and good for our communities.
The company will host a special dialog at Natural Products Expo East in their booth (#3612) on Friday, Sept. 23 from 10am to 11am, to discuss the Fair Pay Today coalition and the need to engage in fair pay advocacy. All show attendees are invited to attend.
