December 9, 2020

MELBOURNE, AUS – Dr. Bronner’s, the global top-selling organic and fair trade soap and body care brand, is proud to announce its new All-One Australia Initiative, with its exclusive Melbourne-based distribution partner, Lateral Food Corporation, which does business as Dr. Bronner’s Australia. This program is a local-to-Australia branch of a new global initiative called All-One International that seeks to ensure mission-aligned advocacy is supported by the markets that Dr. Bronner’s sells its products in around the world, which is at the heart of the company’s continuing global growth and expansion. Through this initiative, at a minimum, 1% of Dr. Bronner’s sales to the Australian market each year will be donated to local advocacy efforts in support of social justice, animal advocacy, and environmental sustainability. Through the All-One Australia program, Dr. Bronner’s Australia is able to increase the local impact. The launch of this initiative includes Australia, as well as Canada, Germany, France, Ireland, Israel, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Panama, Taiwan, and UK. Dr. Bronner’s plans to launch All-One Initiatives in the majority of its international markets over the next few years following a similar mandate.

“As a companywide priority, the Dr. Bronner’s All-One International Initiative ensures our brand activism will have an impact in markets where our products are sold around the world and also will ensure that our impact is aligned with our local partners and what is relevant to them,” says Michael Bronner, President of Dr. Bronner’s. “In Australia, our distributors are deeply inspired by the extraordinary organizations we are supporting and are happy to help elevate awareness of these causes globally.”

By the end of 2020, Dr. Bronner’s All-One Australia will have donated to these highly effective organizations and initiatives within the country that are aligned with the company’s core focus areas through the new program. Animal Advocacy: Voiceless; Environmental Sustainability: Seed Indigenous Youth Climate  Network; Social Justice/Community Betterment: Eat Up.

“Dr. Bronner’s embraces an approach to brand activism that seeks to build and strengthen movements across diverse groups, focusing on equity and inclusion,” says Tammy Seligmann, General Manager of Dr. Bronner’s Australia, and Lateral Food Corporation. “We are honored to work through the company in a way that provides opportunities to connect on a deeper humanitarian level beyond the integrity of our products. Together we hope that people will be just as motivated to support the selected organizations as we are, especially as we head into the giving season.”

While Dr. Bronner’s Australia has collaborated with local non-profits in the past, All-One Australia is also building upon their existing local advocacy program where a different organization is selected every two months to receive the proceeds from the first hundred purchases of a Deluxe Sample Pack of personal care products available through the Dr. Bronner’s website. In 2020, proceeds from the Deluxe Sample Pack have benefitted St Kilda Mums, Take 3 for the Sea, StreetSmart, Sisters Inside, Carbon8, Rise Indigenous, and ORICoop, In addition to financial donations, the company has donated its soaps and other products to community and educational events, fundraisers, animal sanctuaries, and direct-action campaigns across Australia and around the world throughout the year.

One of the first official grants Dr. Bronner’s made this year under the banner of All-One Australia was a $14,084 AUD donation to the Seed Indigenous Youth Climate Network which works to build a movement of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people for climate justice. Dr. Bronner’s agrees with Seed’s vision for a just and sustainable future with strong cultures and communities, powered by renewable energy.

Dr. Bronner’s has been a long supporter of social justice and community betterment organizations and is pleased to be supporting Eat Up with a $7,042 AUD donation. Eat Up activates the generous help and lunch-making skills of a dedicated army of volunteers to make and deliver thousands of lunches a month to schools around Australia to kids who would otherwise go without because their families lack the money to buy food. Since 2013, they’ve delivered over 850,000 lunches and were able to adapt to the pandemic lockdown and COVID-19 distancing guidelines to continue their work  2020.  During the last week of school term in December, Eat Up will also be delivering Emergency Food Boxes to families in need of assistance over the holiday period, and Dr. Bronner’s Australia has encouraged their fans and customers to contribute further by donating $10 to provide a family with one of these boxes.

Dr. Bronner’s is also pleased to be supporting Voiceless with a $7,042 AUD donation, an organization focused on animal law and animal protection education in Australia. They work to educate and inspire the next generation of changemakers to think critically and make positive changes for animals. Dr. Bronner’s is inspired by the vision of Voiceless where animals are treated with respect and compassion by leveraging the power of education to ensure a better future for animals.

In addition to the All-One Australia Initiative donations, Dr. Bronner’s was pleased to donate $10,715 AUD to Organic and Regenerative Investment Coop (ORICoop)and $3570 AUD to Goongerah Wombat Orphanage in January following the devastating bushfires late last year and early this year.
