To bush or not to bush?

Join the beauty dilemma with Dr. Bronner’s Magic Organic  Fair Trade Shaving Soap Gel

March 1, 2014

Hair is definitely back. In Brooklyn, NYC, men are paying up to $7,000 (£4,206) for beard transplants, a procedure that guarantees an enviable hipster look in just one year. American Apparel stores have picked up on the hirsute trend by adding pubic hair to their mannequins to show off their lingerie and even eco and health-minded holiday stars have confessed to working a “70s vibe” down there, as they consider it earthy, healthy and sexy. So, whether you’re looking to be a natural bush girl or bald as a seal, Dr. Bronner’s Magic Organic Fair Trade Shaving Soap Gel is your best ally to keep bush hair in the best condition, naturally.

Combining pure powder grains from the Shikakai seed of South Asia combined with the finest sugar cane caramelized in succulent white grape juice, this product is a recipe for healthy skin as the gel helps avoid ingrowing hairs.  What’s more it’s certified by the USDA (the association which guarantees food safety).

Dr. Bronner’s Magic Organic Shaving Gel Soap is a natural range of organic shaving soaps (RRP £6.99) which come in a variety of sensational scents including Peppermint, Lavender, Tea Tree, Lemon Grass Lime and Baby Unscented. Scented using only Fair Trade organic essential oils and containing no synthetic ingredients or preservatives, they make a perfect natural skin treat.

The core ingredient in this soap gel, organic shikakai extract, is formed by blending shikaki – a powder which comes from the seed pods of the small South Asian tree acadia concinna, and has been used for millennia in India as a gentle conditioning cleanser – with sugar, caramelised in succulent white grape juices. As organic sucrose is a natural humectant – it naturally draws water into the skin – this magical blend leaves skin feeling soft, replenished and fuzz-free. During the caramelisation process, the soap also takes on a light natural tan colour in addition to a sumptuous sweet scent; a tasty touch to hydrated, smooth, and moisturised skin.

Notes to editors:

Dr. Emanuel Bronner was a third generational soap maker who spent his life renouncing hate and war on a personal mission to unite mankind. His strong views and lectures landed him in a mental asylum in Chicago, but eight months later in 1948, Bronner escaped and continued with his message in California. During this time, he also began making peppermint liquid soap under the ‘Dr. Bronner’s Magic Soaps’ brand. He gave away soap during his talks but soon realized people were taking it without listening to him speak. As a result, he started writing his philosophy on the bottle in tiny script, which is still used on Bronner’s packaging today.

Dr. Bronner’s Magic Soaps mark their 64th anniversary this year and are currently the USA’s no 1 selling natural soap brand, with a celebrity fan base including, Drew Barrymore, Natalie Portman, Eminem, Sandra Bullock and Bobbi Brown.
